Rain

Edinburgh Festival is about to start, a sure sign that we are in for some bad weather. And sure enough we had a thunderstorm this afternoon.

We are still reeling from the outcome of the Planning meeting over Park of Keir. Even though one councillor described the whole process as a travesty of justice because they had their hands tied legally.
The Scottish Office (stand up Nicola Sturgeon) had passed the development in 2015 back to Stirling Council for “ their perusal” having granted permission for the development on the grounds of “ national importance”. Judy Murray campaigned to establish a world class tennis centre with top coaches.

But that was six years ago. Everything has moved on, including Judy Murray who was in the paper recently saying she was hanging her racket up at the end of this tennis season to make way for the next generation.

So we are left with a housing development and a tennis centre when we have the National Tennis Centre three miles down the road at Stirling University.
