Italian for a day

So lovely that Italy won three gold medals today. The win in the 4x100 men’s relay (‘staffetta’ in Italian)was specially fab as I happened to be watching. Particularly as the week started with the 41st anniversary of the bombing of Bologna station (I was there folks). And punctuated by getting my strimmer harness fixed by a nice mum and dad cobbler in Rassina. So all’s we’ll. I love Italy and Italy loves me, as yon Joseph Beuys said about America when arriving in a rolled up carpet to sojourn with a coyote (wild, naturally) in a Manhattan gallery space. I’ve no carpet nor coyote but I’m hoping a beating heart and tears in my eyes for the past, the present and future will suffice.
