‘Fringe Fun in the Rain’

Went with the grandchildren to Shiva's Camino at the new ‘Covid secure’ venue ‘MultiStory’ at the Castle Terrace Car Park next to the Castle. It’s on the open top floor of the car park.

As we waited outside, the rain began to fall and we were looking forward to getting inside. Unfortunately, our assumption that the venue was covered, proved to be wrong, and the rain became quite torrential shortly after the show started.

It’s actually an uplifting foot stomping medley of feisty Flamenco, Scottish step, Indian Classical, Bollywood and contemporary dance with exhilarating live music – connecting traditional arts and celebrating cultural exchange - which the rain failed to dampen.

Today’s photo was taken shortly after the start of the show - and I was wondering whether we should cut our losses! I’m glad we didn’t and I should add that they both enjoyed it, eventually, - especially my 10 year old granddaughter, who is very much into ballet and dance - as the rain eased. As the rain eased they started foot stomping - and dancing!
