As the AOG winds down....

Today brought the remaining events of the Bug-tathlon, starting with the Nectaring Event. The  surprise was Merry Monarch who was felt to be a shoe in for the gold prior to an antenna  injury. It was not known if she would compete till this Am when she was finally  cleared by the team doctor.  She was seen shortly before the event  talking to her coach ( and rumored to be dating ) Matt Monarch about style points and how to beat their rivals. 
BigJ ,the Yellow Jackets entry into the Bug-tathlon , was having a hard time staying focused and kept buzzing the spectators and getting distracted by the Hummingbird  events . Well , really the Goal posts in the Hummer events , which are currently filled with sugar water. . 
The winners of the Pairs - Team Clearwing was out in force but couldn't keep up with Merry Monarch. We'll bring you the entire event on the late night recap tonight and an interview with the queen herself who is still in the lead with only one event to go. The Timed Flight event is not her best , so we'll ask about her strategy  on how to come in high enough in this difficult event to still capture the gold!. Stay tuned!
