Bridal Shower

After an early morning wake up in Chicago....we had a bit of a plane delay again, but soon were on our way to Virginia. It was so exciting to arrive at the airport and seeing our Bride to be waiting for us. It had been almost 2 years since Sugar and I last saw her. Oh the hugs....we just couldn't get enough. She took us to her soon to be in-laws house to hang out for awhile. Everyone was so welcoming. What a wonderful family our girl is marrying into. They made us feel right at home.

We hooked up with the mom of the bride, whom I hadn't seen in over 10 years, and the brides brother whom I have never met. He is 10. We headed on over to the hotel to get ready for the bridal shower.

The bride was instructed to be there after the guest arrived, so she was the last to come in. She was so excited and cute when she walked through the door.. Then she realized that there is no need for enemies when you have friends. Here's the proof. tee hee...poor girl.

We played the game where you are split up into teams, and make a wedding dress out of toilet paper in like 3 minutes. Sugar Bear was distressed to not be in either my or grandma's group, but the ladies on her team made her feel so special by choose her to be their bride. Here they are making her dress. And here she is BEAMING when her cousin, the bride, chose her dress as the winner. I think her teamed cheated using the "cute" card, :)

It was a delightful evening. One of the best parts was getting a chance to meet some of the brides friends whom I've been hearing about for years and years.

PS. I've back blipped yesterday.
