How many Bird Feeders ... (SilsAug2021)

does one family need?

Last week I excited everyone with my tales of writing a GDPR policy and an updated constitution for the camera club.

What I didn't tell you was I also ... booked a tip recycling centre slot!!!

So tomorrow morning at 08:30 I can get shot of a variety of recyclable things which have been accumulating in the garage over the past 18 months.   A similar amount of stuff is going on the local FB sales and free to a good home pages.

So we can now get from one end of the garage to the other,  or we will be able to,  assuming someone wants our old petrol lawn mower.  It works well enough, I just can't be bothered with all the hoorah around dealing with the petrol taking on water over the winter.  I used to put the left over fuel into the car, but as we don't have a petrol vehicle now ....

We're also going to sell some of the bicycles as we have more than enough (7) for the two of us and there's no point having them just gathering dust when someone else could be enjoying them.

These are some of the various bird feeders we have tried over the course of our conflict with the local squirrels,  they might go onto the free to a good home pages too unless Rachel wants them for her garden.

At the moment we seem to be ahead, the birds are being fed, the squirrels are not.  They climb onto the feeders but don't have any great success in extracting the food.  Introduced species  - very silly Saturday.

We're seeing  Greater Spotted Woodpeckers most mornings and several small Great & Blue Tits, so despite the weather they look to have had a good breeding season.
