A Glimpse Through The Trees

Layers upon layers of sandy deposits had been laid down over millennia, which now form an imposing escarpment on the edge of the Avon valley. Known as Sandy Ballas in the days of Henry VIII, the present day holiday village shares its name with that of the escarpment's bastions, now known as Sandy Balls.

Following a predictably late departure from home and an equally predictable drive around the M25 (involving significant and much needed but otherwise unwelcome use of the middle pedal) we arrived and I took Miss Fluffy for a stroll through the woods enveloping the balls.
