Waxeye

As expected the winter snow/hail/rain arrived overnight, and its been with us all day.  Not snow, although we did have some this morning, but there is lots of it inland with all the passes closed.  Actually, snow is close to here too, as we can see it on Mt Horrible which is about 10 minutes drive from here.  Just in case you are wondering, Mt Horrible at 388m, is a extinct volcano, and last erupted 2 million years ago, lol !!
Its been miserably cold, reached a high of 6 deg today.
Because I'm going to be away for much of tomorrow, I braved the conditions and went to the supermarket this afternoon, lets just say it was very quiet.
My dear wee birds were cold and hungry so I gave them extra today.  This photo and the ones in extra are all taken through the window.  So cute and very tiny.  Taken against the grey sky does give a nice result, but I do like the other vantage point shown in extra. They all looks so much sharper against a black background.
