Hepworth gallery

Quiet day today. My hosts went to varied places of worship and I listened online to our church service and did Pilates and ate breakfast late! Sat in a hot conservatory reading for a while then we eventually set off for the Hepworth gallery a little way down the road. They have just created a new garden this year and the wind was tossing the grasses and tall plants around! This is one of the new sculptures in the garden and it looks like a rabbit from this direction. After walking round the garden we went into he gallery to find out that we were 4 minutes after the last entrance time so we went for stroll by the river!

There were numerous ripe blackberries in the hedges, autumn come early and two bikes lying on the ground. A little further on we came across a couple picking them and they offered us a taste. They had just been washed by all the rain! Sweet and delicious if chosen when ripe! Need to drop off in your hand. Foraging is becoming big business in some places!

Dinner was cooked this evening by Rachael who has her 19th birthday on Tuesday. She made a delicious carbonara spaghetti and there were strawberries and ice cream with plant based cream which we nearly forgot because I did a reflexology session for my friend Julie who relishes it ! All in all a good cocouple of days with good friends from my time in Sweden forty odd years ago.

Julie is blurred in the photo because she was moving when I took the pano as were the grasses!

Extra. Happy chappie in the scrap yard! Apparently he changes according to the season and what comes in!
