Iceland day 1 - Glannifoss

After meeting the group at Schiphol airport Amsterdam and the flight to Reykjavik, we met with Yolanda who had already been in Iceland for six weeks. We have two Mercedes Vito vans which we will use to drive the group around for the next ten days.

We drove to our first stop: the Glannifoss. Believed to be a dwelling place of elves and trolls. We didn't see any of those, but we did see salmon jumping up the waterfall. Some people in the group managed to capture a salmon as it was jumping out of the water up the stream.

A nice little waterfall to kick things off photographically. We then checked in at our first hotel: the Hraunsnef country hotel.
