Loch Lubnaig and looking south-west to Ben Ledi

Although there was no snow lying at the lochside (despite its best efforts), there was plenty of white on the heights. In fact, if you look carefully, you will see numerous small specks - those are snowflakes, not dust on the lens.
It was actually relatively pleasant when we headed out this afternoon but as we approached Callander the temperature plummeted and the snow started. Undeterred, we pressed on. We checked out the bird-life on the river but didn't see anything seriously blip-worthy although I did get a quite decent shot of a gull.
Ok, where to next? Lets have a look up towards Loch Lubnaig. So away we went, past the tourist traps at Kilmahog and through the Pass of Leny and towards Strathyre only to find that both of the big car parks were closed and having work done to "improve the visitor facilities". So on we went, and on and on until I found a spot about two thirds of the way up the loch.
Like the heavy, brooding feel of this.
