Nectar Gathering

Well, it's starting to feel a bit "business as usual" today. That's because I had the day to myself as my other half had gone up to Preston to watch the first game of the season. Now that's something that's been off the agenda for the last 18 months.

So I just fancied an easy day so I did my usual. I went to Trentham Gardens in the morning for a short walk, coffee and photography. Then I just relaxed for the rest of the day.

The red bistort found in the floral labyrinth in the gardens is a favourite plant for wasps. And they're not too worried about you getting in close, as they're too busy collecting nectar.
