Shy Ssssnake

A movement seen out of the corner of my eye. My dog missed it. The snake, a small, maybe a juvenile, common python didn't miss us. It froze. I got as close as I dared so as not to frighten it further, took the photo and moved on. Took a minute, doubled back hoping it had come out further but it had retreated.
Feeling privileged, glad.
