Blooming Heather

We drove to Stiperstones for a walk with our friends. The stones are Rocky outcrops along a ridge. This part of Shropshire is beautiful.
We took it very gently ( as one friend has a potential health issue ) and walked through this interesting area, with its old quarries and lead mines to this particular formation, Nipstone. After that we walked  to some of the other stone formations but not right to the top. That will be for another day.
The path took us through woods past old reservoirs with lots of dragonflies , and through masses of beautiful purple heather and wild berries. Oh and a visitor centre with loads of cakes!
