Royal Mile Audience

B and I went on a wee cultural jaunt into town again today. We took the train to Waverley, then headed up Cockburn Street to the Royal Mile. The blip makes it look very busy indeed, but really it was nothing for Edinburgh in August. The crowds are watching a street performer, of which there were only a few. I do wonder how the Edinburgh festivals will fare in the future.
We headed to one of our favourite places, the Dovecot Studios to see an exhibit of tapestries by Archie Brennan. There were a couple of other exhibitions on that we enjoyed too, one of jewellery and another of stunning seascapes.
