Small Blue

Another day of sorting out in Oxfordshire and a walk up Watlington Hill with the spaniel. There were quite a few butterflies around, mainly Chalk Hill Blues, Common Blues and Brown Argus plus some Silver Spotted Skippers and a few Small Blues. When you see the underwing, they look just like miniature Holly Blues. In France they are called L'Argus Frêle - the Frail Argus.
