Sunrise walk

We got up at dawn, made coffee to take along and walked the nature trail from the campground to a good spot to watch the sunrise.  A squirrel was tossing down fir cones from a tall tree the whole time we were there; must be time to gather his winter stash.  Spotted a lone bull elk in the meadow on the way back.
The way home was very hot and hazy, smoke from the forest fires has moved this way. In the extra is a shot from the hazy gorge, and another one of the elk.
