Cinnabar Moth Caterpillar

I walked with J up to our allotment this morning - very pleasant, especially now the berries alongside the footpaths have died back a bit. My job was to pick runner beans and there are still quite a few growing. They are the masters of disguise so it does take careful searching - and some still get missed!

Whilst there I noticed this Caterpillar munching away on some groundsel - each to they're own! Image taken with phone as no other camera to hand. Once home, I looked up this striking creature and came across an informative reference on a site by fellow Blipper JDO. So this striking creature is a  Cinnabar Moth Caterpillar.
