Friday, the 13th

You wouldn't believe all the traffic on Hwy 101 today. People fleeing the heat in Portland, getting away for the weekend. And we thought the beach was crowded on Wednesday and Thursday.
This is in Astoria, at the mouth of the Columbia; the Columbia River Bar Pilots office, a tug, and a ship. It took a bit longer, but it was nice to come home on Hwy 30, missing the drive through Portland, but so much traffic here, too.
Came home to find our new neighbors across the street have self-quarantined. People they visited a week ago have two little boys, now very sick with covid.
My mother would have been 106 today. Time just marches right along, doesn't it.
