Laid back

Exactly what this piece of metal with art deco features is, had puzzled me for a long time. I thought maybe a garage or cinema feature. After posting on a local FB group, the creator, Pete Codling, provided the background....

"Lol... Well spotted. It's the sorry state of a sculpture I made 12 years ago.. it was donated to Portsmouth University when it was decommissioned from Bognor Regis town centre. It was to be restored and installed in Portsmouth somewhere... But got hit by delay then lock downs and funding. Then knocked over by a contractor whilst in storage. Damage is expensive to repair and I am currently looking for a sponsor and location.. Any ideas welcome"
