A Mellow Yellow Butterfly in the Scotia Barrens

There was a butterfly party on the pink thistles on this day in the Scotia Barrens! I saw several butterflies enjoying the blooms, including a great spangled fritillary (medium, orange) and a spicebush swallowtail (large, black). This little yellow one is an orange sulphur, Colias eurytheme. It looks like a pretty mellow yellow butterfly to me!

I don't know about you, but I'm just mad about saffron. Is saffron mad about me?  :-) So my song is this one: Donovan, with Mellow Yellow.
