Seaweed Snow

Back home last night on the late train from London and woke to lots of snow this morning. Instead of hurrying for the train to Edinburgh, I went down to the beach for a little while and found the seaweed gathering crystals of melting ice as it blew across the sand.

Big Beach.

After that I was late for the next train and so had to batter along the road on the bike to just make it. Later on, I rather predictably had to batter up the hill in Edinburgh for the train home again - and just made it. Phew.

Katie and Gordon home tonight to discover "no signal" on the TV (I never turn the thing on when they're not here). "Well, let's do what people did in the olden days," said Katie and got the Yahtzee out. Great fun - especially since she won!
