President elect of Zambia

Around 2am this morning I woke to screaming and fireworks...the new President had just been announced. There was jubilation on the streets of Lusaka. Today, I went to a friend's house to listen to his speech....very positive start.

Today there is a spring in the step of many Zambians as there is hope for a better future.

My prayers are with the people of Afghanistan today...and with Haiti....so much suffering in this world.
