A little bit of the Himalayas in the garden

Many years ago, in a different lifetime, I did some research on different species of rowan, and this little Sorbus cashmiriana from Kashmir and areas near the Himalayas is my reminder.  I grew it from seed, which need stratifying (keeping in the fridge to give them a cold spell) and has now grown to be a small tree. Its berries are like creamy marbles or pearls and birds don't seem to eat them, so they remain on the tree  through the winter months.
