Out and About

The day started fine so we walked up the hill to (get an internet signal to) receive a video message from MrsCyclops, and send one in return.

The forecast was fine until lunchtime, but the rain came early so we spent the morning playing Connect 4 and three games of Junior Monopoly.  Cyclops won the first two, so in the third CyclopsJnr played backwards round the board to see if that gave him an advantage which it seemed to...

After lunch CyclopsJnr was desperate to try the full version of monopoly so we gave it a go.  After 3 hours (and several snack breaks) Cyclops was slowly gaining ascendancy but at such a slow pace that we gave up!  CyclopsJnr LOVED the auction concept, but wasn't necessarily on top of it.  He kept declining to buy properties on his turn, then ending up bidding more than the asking price...

The rain slackened off so we went a nice walk round some of the hilltops to work up an appetite for dinner, which was followed by more toasted marshmallows!
