Temporary Reprieve

The wind has been changing direction and intensity all day.   I took this photo later in the day just as it was starting to sprinkle which is so welcomed.  This evening the wind died down but one can still taste the smoke in the air when outside.
Many surrounding areas are either on Evacuation Order or Alert.  Our government has asked tourists to leave and to also not come to the area as the hotels/motels are needed for the evacuees. Right now the hotels are full and some evacuees have to travel to the coast...300K plus to get temporary accommodation.


If this cooler weather stays for a while...this could be the turning point this summer that all of us have been waiting for...here is hoping...
