Cherry cake

I got going early to make the cake for the Mah-Jong afternoon. I had decided to make a cherry cake and it was a new recipe. It called for a 7inch round loose bottomed cake tin. I have a large collection of cake tins, having inherited some from my mother-in-law. I have a 6 inch round loose bottomed cake tin, a 7 inch standard tin, and an 8 inch loose bottomed cake tin, but not a 7 inch loose bottomed cake tin! Hard to believe when I have so many. I decided that size was the important factor so I used the ordinary 7 inch tin and lined it carefully, and all was well. The cake turned out easily and my guests approved. We had another happy afternoon. I do so appreciate these gatherings!
