A Dramatic Place for a Sad Occasion

My college friend Anne passed away a couple of weeks ago very unexpectedly.  It was her funeral in Caerphilly today, in a lovely old Welsh Baptist Chapel just round the corner from Caerphilly Castle which made for a good Blip.

The funeral was very sad, mostly in Welsh, and the preacher and her one son spoke movingly of her.  I managed to get the drift of what a much loved mother, teacher and church member she was, even in Welsh.  Her second son spoke at the crematorium, this time in English.  They are two lovely young men, both teachers, now in their thirties.

It has been a very moving day, especially spending time with another two of my college friends.

Anne will be missed by so many.
