‘Amėlie’s First Photo Portfolio’

My 10 year old granddaughter Amelie is showing signs of being quite a photographer! 

When she was here last week, she asked to have a go with my ‘big’ camera. I gave her emphatic instructions about having both the strap round her neck, and the wrist strap tightly wrapped round her wrist, at all times, and then let her have a go! First she went into the garden, taking photos of bees and butterflies, and then did portraits of people in the house, including using an app called FaceApp to show how she and her brother might look when they were old (like her her Grandma and Grandpa!).

Everyone who saw them were amazed at the results - hence this afternoon’s project, to create a little photo book to send to her. 

As it happened, she had even done a self portrait with the mirror in the hall, the subject of today’s blip!
