Wide Wednesday

With the theme of history. So I give you Barnstaple Long Bridge, which spans the river Taw. It is Grade 1 listed, ancient monument. Building was started around 1280. Over the centuries work has been carried out and the current features are apparently how the bridge would have looked between 1796 and 1832.  For more detailed information, check out the Wikipedia entry.

Now going to concentrate on getting packed and ready for the trip up to Birmingham. At the moment my bedroom is a shambles and my study is as bad with camera kit all over the place. I am also expected at Sue's later this afternoon, a bottle of wine was delivered this morning and there is a cake to follow!

Hope to catch up with you  all later :-)
