Jersey Tiger Moth

I was out going shopping when what I thought was a beautifully coloured butterfly went fluttering past.  It suddenly landed on the ground shut its wings, revealing only this black and white covering.

Phone out and blip.  It's very nearly in focus.  2 seconds later and it was gone.

The rest of the day.  Least said soonest mended.

I have a pot of soup cooking though - my lentil soup.  Should be tasty for the next 14 days.  I never quite get the amount of lentils right.
