Breezy Ascent

Our visitors wanted to do some clothes shopping in Clarks Village this morning so we had a fairly lazy morning, clearing up after last night’s BBQ, before we all went for a walk up Glastonbury Tor.

It was extremely windy but it didn’t deter a whole stream of like minded people from making the climb. In the foreground is my brother-in-law Gary heading for the top. He’s a keen runner and, having made it to the top, decided to run back down and up again. He was hardly out of breath by the time he reached the tower for the second time.

We went back down the back route and round the country lanes behind the Tor, which gave us the excuse to call in at the Glastonbury Ales Brewery for a look round. While we were there we bought half a dozen bottles x well, it would have been rude not to!

In the evening Chris joined us all for a curryin our local Indian restaurant.
