Painting Day

Today I went to Betty’s vintage hut in Littondale, one of the lesser known Dales in Yorkshire. I was there for a painting day with friends from the SAS :-)
A misty start followed by some very brief sunshine. After a walk around I selected my spot to paint. The session was led by local artist Linda Hollingshead. She asked us to do a few rough sketches of our chosen view. I don’t normally do rough sketches, but it did find it helpful. We had a delicious lunch but sadly the afternoon was a tad wet and we ended up in the garage. After a critique session we had a very delicious cream tea.
A fun day out.
