Party Time

The first party since exactly a year ago, the same invite, the same people. Again a lovely day luckily.

We were asked to just bring "Finger Food" & somehow I got it into my head to do British Finger Food. Did lots of research via Twitter, got hundreds of suggestions, but at the end went for Sausage Rolls and Angels on Horseback. Angie did some of her own German things.

Also wanted to take my own presents along, the party was for both the party-givers birthdays which happen within a few days of another. So using the Aldi trick of having "A Taste of the British Isles" special weeks where one expects to see loads of Union Jack foods but half of it is from Ireland, I took along a bottle of Baileys Irish Cream for Her & a bottle of Jameson's Irish Whiskey for Him.

As usual was a lovely day, loads of children splashing about in the pool and several families again staying overnight in tents.

As an extra photo, a rare shot for me this year of a tractor alongside our house. Seems the owner of the field has so much grass this year with all the rain we have had, that he has sold the hay to someone else, as this is a contractor loading it. It is the 2nd cut known as "Grummet" in Germany, where the word "Heu" or Hay is reserved for the first cut.
