Heart

It dawned on me as I was getting ready for work this morning that I always find myself unconsciously quoting Wordsworth every time I go to put this silver heart on that my husband bought for me for my birthday years ago.
It was a rather epically exhausting long day in Cockermouth after a night of negligible sleep.

Thanks to the human heart by which we live,
Thanks to its tenderness, its joys, and fears,
To me the meanest flower that blows can give
Thoughts that do often lie too deep for tears.

[Extract from Ode: Intimations of Immortality - William Wordsworth]
