Caterpillar Tightrope Walk

We went for a walk in quarry woods this afternoon. We followed a marked trail which had posts fairly close together marking the way but few and far between when the route wasn't that clear. Along the way we found a great patch of blaeberries which were really big. I might come back to pick some to make jam. Theres a lot of history in the woods with a site which had a standing stone circle on it and an old quarry which you can see the remains of. There were lots of mushrooms out but my id skills aren't that great so I didn't pick any. There were some great viewpoints off the trail which gave us a view of the surrounding countryside and coastline I hadn't seen before.
