Oh Esra!

A day that largely focussed on poor pup Esra who surprised us all when a previously unnoticed abscess burst in a very icky way whilst Graham was taking me to Didim hospital for my check up appointment with the Cardiologist. Plans for us all to go for Turkish breakfast morphed in to going back in to Didim to see the vet. Still in the cone from her spaying op just one week ago, poor pup enjoyed the car ride but was not happy at having the abscess cleaned and several adults had to hold her - she's a big girl now at 28kg !!   Several yelps and iodine patches later, we stopped at the bakers on the way home and bought borek (Turkish savory pastries) for breakfast which we ate as lunch rather than breakfast  on my front balcony with a much calmer Esra close by.

Pool time this afternoon was very welcome as the high temperatures continue - though not as bad as a couple of weeks ago when it was 42ºC.  Early evening and Graham and Kat took Esra back to the vet to have her dressing changed before we all, including a friend of Graham's who is staying here, went in to Akbuk for dinner at the Garden restaurant.
