Bullet Patina

Had cause to go to the barn we rent 50 metres from our property and was amazed to see the front wall which had been hit by the hail. The natural greying over decades looks as though it has been peppered by gunshots.

Sadly also discovered the very old bitumen wavy roofing has also suffered, and we will need to think fairly quickly how we are going to sort it. Not easy in the present climate, where building materials have shot up in price and are scarce. Not sure we have enough old roof tiles to do the job, but normally it shouldn't be a problem to find free old ones being given away but alone the wood under-construction lathes needed would cost a lot, and we don't really know how long we can use the barn.

In the extras, the tin shed I am erecting for the new swimming pool pump. Being cheap, it's also a pain to put together. Thousands of screws and very thin tin, which though somehow gets quite stable when it is all put together. I am lining it with boarding inside from used chipboard sheets we have.
