Thick As A Post

The forester brought three Totara posts back from up north when he was house sitting.  Totara is a native tree and was used extensively for fencing  when farms were being established.  This one has the most features on it so it goes at the front.  The other two will be spaced behind it.  They were found on our friends farm and he said they could be as old as him.  When they are all set in place I will do an arty blip of them.  There is wire and holes and lichen on them.  This one is bolted to another post that is buried in the ground.  He didn't have the right bolts so went and got some from a neighbour who was working in his garage.  We could hear him whistling to himself.  I hope they were six feet apart when the exchange took place.  Other neighbours were landscaping their front garden and I pulled another section of the never ending weeds out.  The children next door played outside all morning talking and laughing.  The sky was blue and it was warm.  I felt rather good about lockdown by the end of the afternoon.
The lovely daughter has formed a bubble with two other single friends and they went for a walk this morning.  She didn't enjoy last years lockdown living on her own and working from home.
You were all correct and I have bonded with  the new laptop and enjoy how quickly it opens up. The screen resolution is better and boy my photos look good. Yours do too when I'm on blip.
