Meat Market

This is the old derelict Glasgow Meat Market and Abattoir which dates back to 1879.   Part of it was also a second hand car market for a while.

I'm surprised this section is still in place as there is currently a huge development in most of the land to build 250 houses with recreation space.  

I found the padlock open so just wandered in and made my way through the 'jungle' to this area.  I can see whay they have retained it as currently its storing loads of concrete and other building materials and keeping them dry.

I'm just thinking this would have been better as a mono, but no time now so this will have to do.
