It's a long way home

No it isn't. When we cycle as fast as this we will be home in five or six days. Although we have been unlucky when it turned out that a bicycle ferry was not sailing and we had to cycle 10 kilometres. That should not happen too often because it makes us grumpy.

We drove a lot along rivers, lakes and canals. The area is called the Groene Hart (green heart) of the Netherlands. It was already reclaimed around the year 1000. We saw many meadows in narrow long strips between ditches.

After almost 100 kilometres, we arrived at a large, very expensive campsite where we paid for a pitch without grass. Room for three tents. We accepted it, because we didn't feel like cycling any further.
