Ice Queen

Today I present my favourite rose from my garden. I didn’t plant her, but I think she is an iceberg.

Fragrant and creamy white with blush pink buds, she has been a stalwart of our garden for the nearly 20 years we’ve lived here, even surviving the unwelcome attentions of a jeune with a digger who had no idea that this plant was a precious rose and not a weed.

I’m delighted to see her still there, thriving, shaking off pests, resilient and blooming, dealing with everything nature throws at her.
