Arancini

Unusual for a main course but delicious! Arancini made with truffle and black garlic, served on a pea puree with artichoke and kale.
Our eldest daughter and boyfriend said they wanted to take us out for a meal (for hubby's birthday). They took us to a very lovely a la carte restaurant in Newton (The Wellington). It was a real treat. Unfortunately, our youngest was working but she had brought her dad fresh pastries for breakfast before starting her shift.
It had been a wash out of a day, weather wise, so earlier on in the day we didn't get up to much. I had an aquafit class booked at 3pm which I stuck to, as hubby said he could wait in the cafe. The system spotted it was his birthday and he got free coffee and cake. The pool was a bit too busy for my liking, probably because of the weather!
Next year is a big birthday for him & I (10 days apart) so we need to plan something special.
