Happy Tears

I heard last week that an ex colleague and his wife are expecting a baby in October after several devastating miscarriages, so I made this small blanket this week. I saw the pattern on Instagram- it’s called “happy tears” ( made with spike stitch ) and thought it very appropriate. It didn’t need any new yarn, just using bits I had to make a rainbow pattern. Unisex too. Babies born after miscarriages are often called rainbow babies so I love the significance.
Very easy to make too…
