Hard work

The two  Romanian guys arrived at 8 am to prepare the courtyard for the gravel delivery. They have been removing the old gravel before laying the membrane and digging drainage channels. They are certainly hard workers. We kept them supplied with drinks and biscuits as it was hot work. The seven tons of gravel arrived late in the afternoon and was dumped on the road opposite the house ready to be barrowed down our narrow passage tomorrow. It is good job I asked permission from the local police as the gravel piles are quite large. I offered to help but they said they were happy to get on with it themselves. That meant I could get on with my programme for the day which included a couple of hours with the painting group in the afternoon..
