Truly Blippin' Marvelous

Small town

street. Musing on the way to Alpine on Feering, Essex whose main street had the sub-post office, church and pub (The Bell); the old village general stores closed years ago, and round the corner the primary school. This is called simply The Street.

I mused on the Streets I could visit in England in Lancashire, N. Yorkshire, and Somerset; and in Hants (Hampshire) Street End on the way to Selsey.

The essentials for a small town in America are nearly covered here: hardware store, grocery store, bar & restaurant. The gas station and post office are around the corner but no bank.

Famous Roman streets in Britain?: Ermine and Watling are the first to come to mind then I had to resort to Wikipedia . . .
