Morningside

A lovely evening so headed out for a short run to find a new geocache. This is the view from the top of Morningside towards the Pentlands. 

The 'spaces for people' scheme can be seen in this photo with the bollards in the roads. On the right hand side the bollards have created a designated cycle path. On the left hand side though they are just there to enlarge the footpath. The issue I have with them is they are not consistent and as a cyclist this just makes cycling around town more dangerous. Even when you're in bike lanes, if people are walking up the cycle-lane now you can't cut out as you would crash into the bollards. Its the same for cars poking their heads out at junctions, there is nowhere for cyclists to go.
