Needles

Who'd have thought how difficult it was to make needles?  We went to the Forge Mill Needle Museum, in Redditch, today - it was amazingly interesting to listen to and see the way needles used to be made in days gone by! Life expectancy of some of the workers wasn't much above 30 due to conditions they worked in.
They had some wonderful set ups showing the different sizes, shapes etc - of which this is part of one! The largest needles and the smallest made were on display here as well - astounding!
Well worth a visit if you are ever in the area.
