Bricks and Benchends
A few weeks ago I determined to add to my list of jobs, by restoring an old cast iron bench.. We have owned it for over thirty years and it has been touched up several times in that period. (Some benches have all the fun)
Anyhoo, notwithstanding the nationwide hunt for a Jagwar (American accent) and the small matter of building a garage to house the beast, and manually moving several tons of bricks from A to B, I have had the bench ends shot blasted and powder coated and the new hard wood slats are ready to be treated before reassembling... Future blip in the making. Collected the freshly treated iron work today and thought I would capture them in all their glory, in front of a 4 ton mountain of masonry...
Extra shows detail, before the repair.
