Day 9 Devon and Dorset

This morning we packed up yet again and left The Palm Grove Apartments in Torquay behind. We drove to Moretonhampstead to hire some more bikes to cycle the Wray Valley Trail through part of Dartmoor. The track was downhill for most of the 7 miles to Bovey Tracey which didn't bode well for the return journey!! We had a lovely Sunday lunch in Bovey Tracey at The Brookside before starting the return journey. Most of it was fine but we had to get off and push when it got really steep! My bike was a bit rubbish and the gears kept slipping. I got quite frustrated with it as it was really difficult to ride and I told the man at the hire shop exactly what I thought about it when we got back! He didn't even offer an apology so I wasn't impressed.
Afterwards, we continued our journey to our next hotel which was in Bridport. When we had settled in, we decided to walk the 1.9 miles to the seafront as we hadn't done much and it was still earlyish. We arrived just as the sun was starting to set. The light was beautiful and it was stunning on the cliffs at West Bay. Before returning to the hotel we had a delicious pasty from a shop near the harbour.
